Agro Maripá fue fundado en 1979 con el objetivo de producir genéticamente caballos de andado cómodo para cabalgatas, con galope equilibrado y aptitud para la lectura de las haciendas. La propiedad de Marcelo Baptista de Oliveira, creador de caballos de la raza Mangalarga Marchador hace más de 40 años.
